Hanami in Holland

The Netherlands is a temporary home to quite a few Japanese. Most of them live in Amstelveen, a town near Amsterdam. The Japanese can visit a Japanese barber, many Japanese restaurants and a Japanese flower shop. Almost anything the Japanese community needs is there, just like back home. And as cherry blossom viewing is something Japanese like doing a lot, a couple of years back the town of Amstelveen got a Cherry Blossom Park. This year the sakura was said to be extraordinary, I had to go and see...

Outside the park, the blossoms looked even better.. Which might have been due to the blue sky that suddenly appeared though.
